1.     What are the signs that my foundation is in need of repair? 

  • There are many signs that would indicate that a foundation is need of repair such as: cracks on the interior walls in the Sheetrock, cracks in the brick veneer, doors and windows may not shut properly, sloped or unlevel floors, and sagging or leaky roof. 

2. There are no cracks on the exterior walls, but there are apparent cracks on   the interior walls, does this mean the foundation needs repaired?

  • This could possibly mean that the foundation may have shifted or settled and it should be inspected further by an expert.

3.  How can I distinguish if my home is settling or if the foundation needs repaired?

  • If there appears to be hairline cracks in the exterior and interior walls this may mean your home is only settling and may not need foundation repair at that particular time.  If in time these cracks become wider an expert should come and inspect your home to determine if foundation repair is needed.

 4. There are cracks around my windows and doors, does this mean my foundation needs repaired?

  • This is a very good indication that your foundation may need repaired.  A expert should inspect it to verify.

5.  There are apparent cracks in the bricks around my fireplace, what does this mean?

  • This could be an indication that your home needs foundation repair and should be inspected to verify.

6.  Do you offer financing?

  • There is special financing available.  There must be 1/2 of the total bill paid upon completion of the job and the remainder to be paid out within the next 90 days.

7.  Do you offer any discounts? 

  • We do offer 10% discounts for senior citizens.
  • There are also discounts for Realtors and contractors.

8.  What if another foundation company has already placed piers under my home, but I believe that more work is needed at a later date?  Will you complete the repairs?

  • Permalift provides free estimates so we can inspect and determine if more work is needed. Permalift will complete any additional repairs that are needed.

9.  What type of warranty do you offer?

  • There are three different warranties that are offered.
  1. 5 year warranty
  2. 10 year warranty
  3. Lifetime warranty

10. Is there a fee if I sell my home and the warranty needs to be transferred to new ownership?

  •  There is never a fee to transfer a warranty as long as it is within the lifetime of the warranty.
